TransitPal - Washington DC Metro

TransitPal Washington DC provides real-time arrival information for the Washington DC Metro and Metro bus. This app features fare calculations between train stations, system wide service disruptions news, and rail station or bus stop locator using GPS. You can also create a list of your favorite stations or bus stops, find available services at various train stations as well as view any elevator and escalator disruptions.

CrimeRank - DC Metro

CrimeRank is a real-time mobile transit application that incorporates crime data from the DC metropolitan area. Our approach is intended to provide the user with a variety of options to get to their destination via public transportation, while providing valuable insight into the amount of crime along their route and their destination.

Spatialite for Android

Port of Spatialite for the Android platform. Spatialite is a spatial plugin for the Sqlite database. This port is based largely on the work of Mark Renouf.  You can find the orginal project here.

Hadoop Computer Vision

Currently, the only built-in input/output formats included with Hadoop are text based. Extending Hadoop to support images is the first step preforming large scale processing of image data. This project was created as my final project for Cloud Computing at Virginia Tech.
